Once again, March has come roaring in like a lion but it remains to be seen if it will go out like a lamb. I can imagine if you haven’t kept up with us, you may have thought that we had taken some time off. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Truth is, we’ve never really taken a break from Paper Route. We’ve been hard at work on our new album, day in and day out. I can’t speak for the others, but I think this one might be my favorite. Perhaps it will be yours too.

We are happy to announce that our first new song in years will be released on March 17th. The song is titled “ZHIVAGO” and will be featured on the Ten Out Of Tenn compilation. The very first song we wrote, “Second Chances”, was featured on the very first ToT compilation back in 2005, so it is only fitting that we’d release a new song with them 10 years later. It is basically a collection of talented singer-songwriters who asked us to be included with our laptops and samplers (not as rare today as it was back then!). Please be sure to support us and our friends!

Also, we played 4 shows in the Northeast in February. There is nothing like negative temperatures in Boston to wake your soul up. It confronts you with questions. “Really?” “Why are you doing this?” “Couldn’t you have waited til May?”
No, we couldn’t. We’ve been cooped up too long in the studio. Some of our favorite friends and fans are in New England and we missed them. So for those that came out despite the sub zero temps, thank you for reminding us what it means to perform and have that direct connection together. There is no substitute. Once we finish this album, we will try to make it to the four corners of the earth to see the rest of you. Until then, enjoy “ZHIVAGO” as much as we enjoyed making it. Until next time…
